The Kiln

Step through the door of The Kiln and 500 years fall away. This is the grand old heart of Longlands — wonky floors, thick stone walls, low beams and king beds, all the warmth of a proper Devon hideaway that has sheltered families for half a millennium.

Spread over the ground floor (just one shallow step in) with three bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge, it sleeps up to eight in comfort — the natural choice for a big family gathering or a get-together of friends. The whole property is gated and dog-friendly, and your nearest pint of real ale is a two-minute walk at the village pub.

Fast wifi throughout, dressing gowns and hot water bottles for chilly moor mornings, and footpaths onto Dartmoor straight from the door. A perfect base for big walks, lazy days, or doing absolutely nothing at all.
